Wilder's Famous French Onion Soup Recipe
3 tablespoons - Butter White Onion, sliced approx. 2 medium
4 1/2 cups Beef Bouillon
Worcestershire sauce (approx. 1/4 cup)
Salt and Pepper
Grated Cheese (a mix of Swiss and Monterey is yummy)

Heat butter; add onions; simmer about 10 minutes or until soft and lightly browned. Add bouillon; bring to boil, simmer 20 minutes Season to taste with salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. On top of each serving float a slice of sauted French bread; sprinkle with grated cheese and pass around a bowl of additional cheese for your guests. Pour into earthenware or soup plates. I use eatable bread bowls with the centers taken out and lightly sprayed with butter and sprinkled with garlic salt, broiled for a few minutes and tossed onto the bowls. Makes about 6 servings
