1 tablespoon oil
1 cup onion chopped
1 tablespoon garlic minced
2 teaspoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoon cumin
2 cups chicken broth
4 ounces pasta twists dry
1/2 pound dry black beans
1 29-ounce can stewed tomatoes (If fresh tomatoes are in season, I'll use 5-6 of those.)
Sour cream

Soak and cook beans according to package directions. Saute garlic and onion in oil. Add lime juice, cumin and broth. Boil. Add pasta, cook 8-10 minutes or until tender. Add beans and tomatoes. Cook until warm. Top with sour cream.

The lime was pretty strong in this recipe, I added a little sugar to counter-act this, then I decided the flavor wasnt full enough and I added a 1/2 t. of coriander to it, corn and green beans...I did enjoy it then.
