Shrimp Or Scallops In Wine Recipe
1-1/2 lbs shrimp or scallops
4 TBS butter
1/2 lb mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 TBS flour
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup dry white wine
2 tsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 TBS dried parsley
1 cup dry bread crumbs
Paprika for garnish
Wash and dry shrimp/scallops. Melt butter in skillet and saut mushrooms and onion until tender. Stir in flour and cook several minutes. Add nutmeg, wine, lemon juice and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Add shrimp/scallops and stir to coat. Spoon into a greased 13x9" baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and paprika. Bake, uncovered, at 400°F for 25 minutes. Serve over rice.
