Apple-Crumb Stuffed Pork Chops Recipe
Comments
4 pork chops (1" Thick), cut with pockets

Ingredients

  • Apple-Crumb Stuffing
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 3 tbsp water

Directions

  1. Stuff pockets of pork chops with Apple-Crumb Stuffing and secure with toothpicks.
  2. Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt butter in a large heavy skillet; Brown pork chops on both sides.
  4. Add Water.
  5. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 50 minutes or until pork chops are tender, adding more water if needed.
  6. Serves 4.

Apple-Crumb Stuffing:

  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup diced apple
  • 3 tbsp minced onion
  • 3 tbsp raisins, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • Pinch of ground sage
  • 1 1/2 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
