Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3 TBSP milk
1 TBSP vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
Heat oven to 375°F. Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add egg, beat just until blended. Combine flour, salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 7 to 8 minutes. Cool two
minutes on cookie sheet before removing to wire rack to finish cooling.
Makes 3 dozen
