Caramel Apple Pie Recipe

1 pie crust
24 caramels (1/2 of a 14 oz. package)
2 Tablespoons of water
4 Cups sliced and peeled baking apples
3/4 cup of flour
1/3 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup of margarine
1/2 cup of walnuts

Heat oven to 375°F. Melt caramels with the water in a heavy sauce pan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth.

Spoon apples into crust: top w/caramel sauce.

Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon: cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender.
