Country Dumpling Recipe
3 cups flour
1- 1 1/2 cup chicken broth (works better if the broth is hot or warm)
2 tsp baking powder (don't omit this)
1 tsp salt
Mix all the ingredients until a stiff dough forms, may need a bit more flour or broth so be prepared. Dust counter with flour and roll out dough thinly. Let dry for at least an hour and then cut into squares, then you can cook them in any kind of stew or broth. Cook for at least 20 minutes.
Note these are not the traditional Penn. Dutch Dumplings these are just Country Dumplings and are similar to types that you can buy frozen. They are easy to make and taste great.
