Chocolate Kiss Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe
Cream:

3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar

Add:

2 cups peanut butter (1-18 oz. jar)
2 eggs
1/4 cup hot tap water
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift in:

2-1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 350°F. I like small cookies so I use a scant teaspoonful of dough to make 1 to 1-1/4" diameter balls. Roll them in granulated sugar. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake about 7 minutes (watch for browning bottoms). Remove from oven. Press an unwrapped chocolate kiss in the middle of each cookie. Bake about 1-1/2 min. longer. Remove cookies to wire rack to let cool completely.

Depending on the size of the cookies (just be uniform on each sheet), you could get anywhere from 5 to 8 dozen cookies from this recipe, in which case you'll need 1-1/2 bags of Hershey Kisses. Add another min. to the bake time for larger cookies and maybe another 1/2 min. after the kiss is inserted.

The chocolate kiss has to cool a LONG TIME in this cookie before they can be stacked so plan on baking these earlier in the day so they can "set".
