Quick Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe
1 pkg. quick rise yeast
1 t. salt
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 t. cornmeal
In a large bowl, combine yeast, salt and 2 cups flour. Stir in 1 cup very warm water to make a soft dough. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes working in more flour (about 1/2 c.) while kneading. Shape dough into a ball; cover with plastic wrap and let rest 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 450°F. Grease 15 inch pizza pan; sprinkle with cornmeal. Pat dough onto bottom of pizza pan, shaping dough into 1/2 inch high rim at edge of pan. Layer dough with toppings for your pizza.
