Apple Bread Recipe
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together:
Ingredients
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/2 c. Margarine
- When mixture is light and fluffy, add:
- Mix well.
- Stir in:
- Combine until solids dissolve:
- 1/2 t. Baking soda
- 2 T. Buttermilk
- Add buttermilk mixture to batter.
- Stir in:
- 1 t. Vanilla extract
- 2 c. Peeled, diced apples
- Grease and flour a 9x5x3" Baking pan.
- Spread batter in prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, combine:
- 2 T. Margarine
- 2 T. All purpose flour
- 2 T. Sugar
- 1 t. Ground cinnamon
- Sprinkle topping over bread.
- Bake for 70 minutes at 325°F.
