Apple Bread Recipe
Directions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together:

Ingredients

  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Margarine
  1. When mixture is light and fluffy, add:
  • 2 eggs
  1. Mix well.
  1. Stir in:
  • 2 c. Flour
  • 1 t. Salt
  1. Combine until solids dissolve:
  • 1/2 t. Baking soda
  • 2 T. Buttermilk
  1. Add buttermilk mixture to batter.
  1. Stir in:
  • 1 t. Vanilla extract
  • 2 c. Peeled, diced apples
  1. Grease and flour a 9x5x3" Baking pan.
  2. Spread batter in prepared pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine:
  • 2 T. Margarine
  • 2 T. All purpose flour
  • 2 T. Sugar
  • 1 t. Ground cinnamon
  1. Sprinkle topping over bread.
  2. Bake for 70 minutes at 325°F.
