Torte (French Meat Pie) Recipe
1 recipe for a 9inch double pie crust

1 mashed or chopped cooked potato
1 lb. Ground beef
1 lb. Ground pork
1 med. Minced onion
1 garlic clove (I use 2-3 we are big on garlic in this house)
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Thyme
1/2 tsp. Sage
1/4 tsp. Dry mustard
1/8 tsp. Ground cloves

Brown ground beef and pork, drain fat off and add rest of ingredients including mashed potato!

Throw it all into a pie shell and cover with piecrust just like a fruit pie. Bake @ 450°F for 10 min,, then reduce heat to 350°F and bake for another 20 min.
