Biscuit Meat Pie Recipe
1 pound ground beef
2 bouillon cubes
1 can carrots, juice and all
1 can sliced potatoes, juice and all
2 onions, chopped
salt and pepper to taste

Brown ground beef in a small skillet. Cook carrots, onions, and potatoes in the juice from the potatoes and carrots until tender. Add the bouillon cubes until dissolved. Put the beef and vegetables into a 2 quart casserole dish. Stir in salt and pepper. Add biscuts to top of casserole. Bake at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes.

Baking Powder Biscuits:

2 cups flour
3 tsps. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
5 Tblsps. margarine or shortening
3/4 cup milk

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. With 2 knives cut margarine or shortening into flour mixture until resembles course cornmeal. Add milk all at once; mix until dough leaves side of bowl. Dough will be soft. Turn dough onto a lightly floured, clean counter; knead (fold over and over) about 20 times until dough is smooth. Shape into a ball. Pat or roll lightly until 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Cut out biscuits with floured cutter, jar, or glass. Place on top of casserole. You can also use a biscuit mix.
