Greek Spinach Melts Recipe
1 pkg. (11 oz) Pillsbury French Bread dough
1 pkg. (9 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1 plum tomato
1 small onion
1 garlic clove
1 pkg. (4 oz) crumbled feta cheese
1/4 C mayonnaise
1/4 C sour cream
1/2 t dried dill weed
1/4 t salt
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray PC Valtrompia Bread Tube lightly with oil (you can also just bake the french bread and slice it thin). Cap bottom of bread
tube; fill with dough and place cap on top. Bake upright for 50-60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Remove bread from tube; cool completely.
Meanwhile, place spinach in bowl. Chop tomato and onion; add to spinach. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Using serrated bread knofe, slice
bread into 1/4" thick slices. Place on 15" round baking stone. Drop spinach mixture onto bread slices; spread with spoon. Bake 10-12 minutes or
until heated through. Serve immediately.
This is a Pampered Chef recipe and it calls for a lot of PC products. I have tried to modify the recipe so that if you don't have these PC products, you
can still understand how to make the recipe. It has been a big hit whenever I serve it.
